La Belle Station
La Belle Station was originally part of the old Stapleton Station
(now Litchfield National Park) back in the days when they used
to mine tin in the early 1900's at nearby Walker Creek.
Today the 200,000 hectare La Belle station is run by the Camm
family. The outback experiences you'll find on La Belle are all
a part of the Camm’s everyday life. A visit to La Belle
is a unique opportunity to explore the lifestyle on an authentic
outback cattle station in one of Australia's most beautiful locations.
Over 250 species of bird life inhabit the vast wetlands, as well
as Fresh and Saltwater Crocodiles, Dingoes, Wallabies and all
kinds of mammals and fish. La Belle's own Wetland Cruise
is an ideal way to see them all, especially if you're a keen bird
watcher or wildlife enthusiast.
If you'd like to try your hand at something truly authentic, ask
about La Belle’s annual Cattle Muster or the unique Crocodile
Egg Collecting Safari. Advanced bookings are a must!
